Celebrate!!!

We were eating dinner tonight and out of nowhere Baylee says "poo poo potty." After my jaw dropped to the floor and returned, I bolted out of my seat and off to the potty we ran. Baylee has yet to actually tell me when she needs to go and she has never gone number 2!! After contemplating which toilet she wanted to use (we have a small potty and also a elmo cover that goes over the regular toilet.) Anyway, we started on Elmo then switched to baby potty then returned to Elmo. I was just about to give up and then she went!!!! We danced and danced and ran in here to tell CC!!! As soon as daddy got home from football practice, she ran to tell him.

Please let this be the start of some consistency!!!!!!!!

Hush Hush

As you know, Baylee is quite a fan of the Backyardigans. There is one episode where some of the characters are singing a lullaby so that "Tasha" the Mermaid will go to sleep. Baylee loves this song and sings along, especially when they say "Hush Hush." She gets all wrapped up in her blanket and just about goes to sleep herself. Take a peek......it is a little long but it is so cute, I couldn't edit it!!!!!

Bedtime Ritual

Getting ready for bedtime is always a fun time! We usually have had a bath, used the potty, and gotten into our PJ's. Next comes Veggie Tales, which she has an obsession with Queen Esther all of a sudden. She goes around the house saying "Keen Sir" and we finally figured out she meant Queen Esther. But here lately, Veggie Tales have taken a backseat to the Backyardigans. As we get ready to watch our movie, Baylee gets her babies, her Backyardigans, her Mickey and Minnie Mouse and of course, her "ousey" which is her mouse. She gives them hugs and kisses and then places them "just so" on the couch. It is quite a sight!

Still training....

So it has been a little while since I have blogged.....so sorry! Time is passing so quickly! We are still working at the whole potty thing...not going as smoothly as I had once hoped. She (and me) are so inconsistent. I am already tired of talking about it to her at every diaper change!

Tonight, I looked up from the kitchen and didn't see her. I call out her name and get no response. I call out again - nothing. CC was here, bless her as she helps me get caught up on household chores, and says she will look for her. She finds Baylee in my bathroom with her elmo potty seat over the commode, her baby placed perfectly over the seat and she has about 5 yards of toilet tissue making sure she is clean! Too funny! I ran with my video and gave some training in tissue control!
