Up Up and Away

What crazy weather we are having!  Today was 71 degrees and windy, which was perfect for flying Baylee's first kite.  Chad and I were shopping last night buying a potty chair of all things and we came across a Mickey Mouse kite.  Well, if you read the previous blog, you know we had to get the mouse kite!  She had such a fun time and once daddy got the kite up, he handed it off to Baylee and she did pretty well!  See what you think.......

Mouse Obsession

Not really sure how it happened, but Baylee seems to have an obsession with mice.  It began when she was about 5 months old when she became attached to one of CC's mice she would set out during Christmas.  It is a Pufalumps Christmas mouse....(really???)  Anyway, she would sleep with this mouse, but it would stay in her crib when she would wake up...so big deal, right? We wouldn't take it Nana's or anywhere else for that matter.  Now, we take it when she spends the night out and she carries it around the house at times.   Her fascination with mice has now grown into carrying around Mickey and Minnie, although she has never even seen a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cartoon.  She is really just into mice!!!

I used her love for Minnie to catch her giving a wink!  Her latest new trick!

Valentines Day

Baylee woke up to Valentines Day presents! She got the new Veggie Tale movie and Mix it Up Larry (kinda like Mr. Potato Head for Larry...which Nana thought of and I think VeggieTales stole her idea!)  When I saw it in the store, I couldn't believe it was already a toy!!  Anyway, Bay loved changing the eyes and costumes of Larry and later that night, we watched the new movie. We had a nice Valentines!

A day at the Library

Today was story time at the Olive Branch Library for toddlers and Baylee got to join!! Nana, her wonderful teacher during the day, took Baylee and they had so much fun - as you can see! There was a playhouse and a puppet theater and she actually sat and listened to 3 of the stories....by story number 4, she was getting a little restless....Thank you Nana for ALL you do for Baylee!!!! (and thanks for sending me the pics!)

Did you miss me?

You know at the end of a hard day, when you go to pick up your child and can't wait to see her run into your arms with excitement to see you?  Well, I look forward to that moment cause it is soooo rare!!!  When I pick up Baylee from Nana's, she clings to Nana!! When we got home one day, I decide to ask Baylee if she missed me.....take a look at her answer....priceless!

A love for puzzles

A love for puzzles run in the family.  Chad and I put a hot air balloon puzzle together when we were dating and it is now framed and up in Baylee's room.  We just finished a Muppet puzzle the other week, which was Chad's favorite.  Baylee has taken quite an interest in the sound puzzles.  She could put them together for hours, literally!!!!  The video clip below is of her doing one her favorites....of course, we have video of her doing 3 different puzzles at the same time, but that clip was a little long!
