Santa came to the Deatons

Christmas morning was really fun this year!  Santa came and brought Baylee a Dog Ball Pit that she loves, a rocking horse and Elmo Live.  She has been overwhelmed with all the things from everyone.  Daddy was pretty happy this year too as he got his very own Muppet!  Baylee didn't know what to think at first, but now she loves him.  Daddy named him Sunny.  I am truly blessed with wonderful friends and family.......life is good.

Christmas Adam, for the slow ones (Kim), this is the

day before Christmas Eve which was a term coined by my friend Leslie.  We got to celebrate with the McMillens and the girls had so much fun with each other, the toys, and all the paper!! Thank you AunT and Uncle Ray for a fun time and for all the gifts!  I posted all the pics on my gallery (see left for the link.)

Baylee loved the paper as much as the presents!

Bay got a Cabbage Patch Doll!!!

Baylee got a Pink CareBear for Breast Cancer Research.  AunT told her it was her granny in heaven bear!!

Bay carried her "bag" the whole night.

Lounging in Brenly's Alabama Bean Bag that Brenly loves but AunT and Uncle Ray are not so pleased........oh well....

What a mess!!!

Christmas with Maggie

This year started a new tradition.  We got to celebrate Christmas with Maggie, Aunt Sherry and Uncle Lance the day after the Miller Christmas Party.  The girls had more fun playing in the crib as you can see...laughing with CC!!  We will miss them on Christmas Eve!!  We love you and thank you for all of Baylee's goodies!

The Famous Christmas Talent Show

Every year at CC and D's house, there is a huge Christmas party with fun, way too much food and a talent show.  This year, the Miller's and the Deaton's showed off what kind of music they have been listening to....take a glimpse!

My dancin' baby

I knew I would catch it on video eventually!  This blogging thing makes me pull out my video camera (as if I didn't do it enough already!!)  Baylee loves Jack's Big Music Show from Noggin, which makes Daddy happy because it is all puppets.  If you know Chad at all, you know he was and is a big time Muppet fan!!  Anyway, the music from the Noggin show says "come on everybody give your foot a tap" and "come on everybody give your hands a clap" and she actually follows right along...take a peek!

Are you kidding me???

Last night, Chad and I decided to take Baylee to meet Santa for the first time.  Keep in mind, my child tends to freak out in large crowds...i mean last year at my family's christmas party, she was in absolute turmoil for about 2 hours.  She just could not take all the people.  The very first time we took her to the church nursery, they had to call me out of the service to come and calm my sweet (high maintenance) child down.  When I got to the hallway of her classroom, I could hear her screaming for dear life!!!  Now some of you are saying, oh ronni, that was so long ago....she is older now.  and I am saying to myself blah blah blah because it happened again last weekend!! We had a Christmas party over at our house, and she would not leave my side!!!!  It is just a stage you say......yea ok.

Anyway, I had prepared myself for the drama of her Santa encounter and I was stunned.  She did let out a cry initially, but it was so mild compared to what I have heard from her in the past with normal people not dressed in red!!!  I was like that is it?  The one time I completely expect her to lose it, she was cool......are you kidding me?

The first video is her meeting Santa for the first time.  The second video is when Santa recruited Ms. Claus to ease the tension.  The last video was when we actually got a shot when everyone was at least looking at the camera....don't get too excited, Baylee was no where near a smile!!  Enjoy.......

And the final product of the night....drum roll please....

Itsy Bitsy Spider

We have been teaching her the motions but she would freeze with the video camera!  Tonight, we caught a few of the motions.   Of course, Chad taught her the "down came the rain"  to put her hands over her face.  Eventually this will lead to her getting ridiculed later in life....but Chad will enroll her into Karate at that point!!!  Enjoy....

A Gymnastics Debut

Baylee was able to participate with her cousin Maggie a few weekends ago in Nashville and seemed to enjoy running around..take a look!
And she finally made it to the end!!!  I added the background music......hope you get a kick out of it!  I am having so much fun with this blog thing!

Welcome

Welcome to my first blog entry.  I have decided to begin "blogging" to keep everyone updated on how things are going in the Deaton household.  Today Baylee was dancing and I thought to myself that this would be a great video for a blog...and that is how it began.  Of course, the video camera was not charged, but I will catch it the next time!  I hope you will visit back often as I will post life's precious moments that will make you smile....
