Saying Prayers

Saying prayers with Baylee before bedtime is one of my favorite times of the day! She clasps her hands together, covers her right eye and says about every other word. It is a precious sound that I love to hear. We say the "Now I lay me, down to sleep" prayer and got her to do it on camera in the middle of the day....take a listen.

As easy as 1-2-4....

My 2 year old has learned her colors and now we are working on her numbers!! She will get her balloon and count "1-4-5" and then throw it up in the air....so we need to focus on sequential numbers! In the video, she skips over 3, but her daddy reminds her on the order! Too precious!

Update

Well, she is not consistent, but she has gone pee-pee on the potty one time everyday for 4 days in a row! Woo-Hoo!!! I even bought some pull-ups and they have Diego on them! Surely that will give an added incentive, right?

They perks of motherhood - we have never been more proud! And she gets so tickled to see Chad and I dance the pee-pee on the potty dance.....that is probably the real incentive!!

Pee Pee on the Potty

I am stunned!!! We have been talking about pee pee on the potty with Baylee for many many weeks and sitting her on the potty several times a week. Tonight, all of sudden, she says "pee pee" (which she has said before with no results!) and sits on the potty and does nothing...so we are thinking she is just playing a game.

We take a bath and we try again.............and ta-da!!!! My little girl goes pee pee on the potty! Chad and I start dancing and singing "pee pee on the pot-ty, pee pee on the pot-ty" and Baylee is laughing away! Oh please Lord, let this continue!!!!!!!! How great would this be to have my 2 year old potty trained soon!!!

Too funny!

Nana always has funny stories about what Baylee did throughout the day and I love to hear them! Makes me feel updated on everything she is doing!!! Yesterday she told me their conversation....

Nana: "Baylee, do you want an apple?"

Bay: "yes" (proceeded to go to the fruit bowl and hand Nana an apple) and says "peel it"

Nana: "ok"

Bay: "put it in the bowl"

Nana: "there you go"

Bay: "good girl!"

Oh she does pick up on everything!! Take a look below at her mimicking her mommy!! Do I take too many pics?? This is her taking a picture, saying cheese and snapping her fingers over her head for me to look at the camera....i don't know where she has seen that before................

Birthday gift

Daddy got Baylee this crazy big red ball that he wishes he had the adult size for him!!! Baylee loves it....she even rides with her Backyardigans!

My baby is 2!!

Happy Birthday Baylee!! I cannot believe my baby turned 2 yesterday!! We celebrated her birthday today at the house with friends and family. Baylee knew something was going on as she was dressed like Minnie Mouse!! She had a ball and thanks to everyone for celebrating with us! Chad and I are so blessed to have such an amazing family and wonderful friends to help us guide Baylee and mold her into who she is to become!! I bought this for her Halloween costume this year...came in handy!!
